The Ötztaler Cycle Marathon is one of the world’s most iconic and demanding amateur cycling events, held annually in the Tyrolean Alps of Austria. Covering approximately 227 km with over 5,500 meters of elevation gain, the route takes riders over four legendary mountain passes — Kühtai, Brenner, Jaufenpass, and the spectacular Timmelsjoch — before returning to Sölden. Known for its breathtaking alpine scenery and extreme physical challenge, the event attracts thousands of cyclists from around the globe each year. Completing the Ötztaler is considered a major endurance achievement and a bucket-list experience for serious amateur riders.
