Arrive in Blockley at your own pace and check into the hotel. It’s a charming spot right in the heart of one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds, best known as the main location for the BBC series Father Brown. We’ll come together for a relaxed welcome dinner at 7:00 p.m. This is your chance to meet Emma and the rest of the group, share stories, and get excited for the weekend ahead.

You'll pass through typical Cotswold towns and villages, such as Bourton-on-the-Water, The Slaughters, Guiting Power and Chipping Campden, along quiet country lanes and taking in stunning views along the way. Although the ride will take a relaxed pace with plenty of options to stop for a coffee and some food, you will be covering about 50 miles and the Cotswolds are quite hilly, so make sure you're comfortable with the distance to ensure you have a great time. Participation in the ride is entirely optional and we encourage you to listen to your body and pace yourself accordingly. Saturday evening will provide another chance to relax together with a private group yoga class organised exclusively for the group, nearby our hotel, before heading out to dinner together.

For those keen to get a second ride in, Emma will host a shorter spin of about 25 miles on Sunday morning, taking in some different villages and stopping off for a morning coffee. If you prefer to take it easy, enjoy a slower start at the hotel or take a final wander through Blockley’s honey-stone streets and the surrounding countryside. We’ll regroup later for an easy farewell before everyone heads their separate ways!

Despite having a northern family, the only northern thing about me is that I really love custard!
Hello, I'm Emma. I'm a primary school teacher who has been cycling regularly for the past five years. I've grown to love my local lanes of Warwickshire and the Cotswolds but I also love to travel with my bike whenever possible.
My dad is a keen cyclist and I would join him for rides now and then as a child and young adult, but about five years ago I started heading out on my own and gradually increasing the miles. I've always enjoyed being outdoors and exploring the countryside and cycling became the perfect way to do both. Cycling through my local country lanes, admiring the views and stopping at a cafe is one of my favourite ways to spend a day.
I love sharing my rides, routes and thoughts on Instagram, so bringing this into real life felt like a natural next step. After hosting the first Cotswolds weekend and seeing how quickly the group bonded, I knew I wanted to do it again. I’m especially passionate about bringing female cyclists together and encouraging more women to take up the sport. The Cotswolds is one of my favourite places to ride because it has everything I enjoy. Scenic views, quiet lanes, a few satisfying climbs and plenty of great cake stops. I can’t wait to share more of it with you on this second edition.
