I’m Jess - an endurance cyclist, writer, and content creator who rides her bike insane distances whilst constantly questioning her ability to do so. In five years, I’ve gone from local club rides to unsupported bikepacking adventures, including a 4,000km race across the Arctic Circle. Now, I help others discover the joy of self-supported adventure, focusing on the human side of the journey — overcoming self-doubt, building resilience, and celebrating the sense of achievement that comes from doing something you once thought was impossible.
Why I got into it
I started cycling in order to train for my first triathlon, but quickly realised I was happiest on the bike and left the swimming and running behind. From there, I kept pushing myself further, taking on longer rides and bigger challenges, and eventually fell in love with endurance riding and the self-supported world of bikepacking.
Fun fact
I got my first bike at the age of seven, promptly crashed it into a thicket of stinging nettles, and then didn’t give cycling another thought until twenty-five years later when I decided I wanted to cycle 4,000km across Europe.
